Project 2 - BIM Andrew Smith | ARCH 653 | Spring 2023 Rachofsky House Dallas, Texas   Revit is a popular software used in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry for designing and documenting building projects. It offers a wide range of features, including integration with various plugins and add-ons, such as Dynamo. Dynamo is an extension for Revit that provides a visual programming language, enabling users to automate complex tasks, create custom design tools, and even generate random elements within their models. One example of how Dynamo can be utilized is to create a random color panel on a wall. By using the “List Shuffle” in Dynamo, which generates a random look within a specified range. In addition to Dynamo, another tool that can be used with Revit is Veras, an AI-powered rendering tool. Veras employs machine learning algorithms to analyze the geometry and materials of a Revit model, generating high-quality, photorealistic images that can be used for prese

Project 1 - BIM Andrew Smith | ARCH 653 | Spring 2023 Rachofsky House Dallas, Texas 1.        Through a study on Richard Meier’s Architectural language and conceptual massing, I can successfully create a more sophisticated BIM model of the house. There are elements found throughout his works that are specific to his language and design choices that can be best represented through a catolouge of conceptual masses    PROJECT 1 MASS I first studied the way Meir would layout his floor plans. For the Rachosfsky House, Meir uses and ABC layering technique to define the layers. From there, he then divides the mass with the Transverse Axis seperateing the mass into the Private/Public space.             I began by creating the main body mass with the Width being the sum of the three defined ABC layers. You will also notice the red Transverse axis that defines the main entry of the house. This is my AXIS parameter.     The next step was to create a series of massing pieces specific to Richard Me
