 Revit is a popular software used in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry for designing and documenting building projects. It offers a wide range of features, including integration with various plugins and add-ons, such as Dynamo. Dynamo is an extension for Revit that provides a visual programming language, enabling users to automate complex tasks, create custom design tools, and even generate random elements within their models.

One example of how Dynamo can be utilized is to create a random color panel on a wall. By using the “List Shuffle” in Dynamo, which generates a random look within a specified range. In addition to Dynamo, another tool that can be used with Revit is Veras, an AI-powered rendering tool. Veras employs machine learning algorithms to analyze the geometry and materials of a Revit model, generating high-quality, photorealistic images that can be used for presentations and marketing materials.

By combining the power of Dynamo and Veras, Revit users can streamline their design processes and create more engaging and dynamic visualizations of their building projects.

 

PROJECT 2

DYNAMO IMPLEMTATION

The aim of implementing a dynamo script was to develop a tool capable of generating a random material for my parametric curtain panel. This approach enables the creation of a vast array of distinct appearances, which could prove useful in upcoming projects.

VERAS IMPLEMTATION

Veras, is an AI-powered rendering tool that allows users to create high-quality, photorealistic images of their models. Veras uses machine learning algorithms to analyze the geometry and materials in a Revit model, and then generates a detailed and accurate rendering that can be used for presentations, marketing materials, and more.

I began with having no prompt to see how veras would react. The Ai did a decent job at getting my overall mass correct, but did not add glazing. I do like how the vertical panels were being picked up and the Ai was being creative with my model
